Bijan accepts position in Department of Radiology

Bijan Bijan has accepted a position at UC Davis as assistant professor of radiology. Board-certified in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology, he will focus his clinical activities in abdominal imaging. Bijan is interested in nuclear medicine, abdominal imaging/magnetic resonance imaging and nonvascular interventional radiology. He has experience in PET, nuclear cardiology, CT and MRI. Bijan's research focuses on finding new areas to use PET in oncology patient work-up protocols; using cardiac PET to replace SPECT scans and the study of abdominal and pelvic malignancies, spectroscopy of hepatic lesions, and urologic MR imaging. He is also active in preparing review courses and categorical lectures for resident and fellow training. In addition to English, Bijan is fluent in French, Turkish and Persian.
