5th Annual ‘Walk for the Kids’ benefits Sacramento Ronald McDonald House
The annual “Walk for the Kids” fund-raising event to benefit the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House will be held on Saturday, September 30, on the grounds of UC Davis Medical Center.
The 5K walk starts and ends at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House located at 2555 49th Street in Sacramento. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the walk starting at 9 a.m. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.
All proceeds will benefit the children and families who stay at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House by supporting future maintenance and repair projects.

Whether a child is being treated for cancer, spinal cord injury, burns, pre-mature birth, trauma injury or any number of other conditions, the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House is a “home away from home” for children and their families. The house provides a haven for parents and children enduring long hospital hours with a place to sleep, shower and cook meals. It is also a place of comfort where families can console each other by sharing similar experiences.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake. While the owners of McDonald's restaurants generously contribute to the Charity, the majority of financial support comes from community donations, corporate sponsorships and special events. |
