Supervisor’s Academy offered to develop frontline supervisors at UC Davis Health System

Nominations are being accepted for the next Supervisor’s Academy, a series of courses intended to help prepare current employees for future front-line management positions at UC Davis Health System.

Sponsored by Human Resources, the academy provides instruction in communication, working in a complex organization, effective writing and other aspects of strong leadership, beginning in September.

The Supervisor’s Academy is part of the health system’s succession plan for developing a pool of qualified candidates to assume the roles of individuals now in leadership and administrative positions upon their retirement. The tiered program is aimed at health system staff and current supervisors.

Employees may nominate themselves for the academy, or be nominated by a supervisor/manager or another individual who knows their potential for leadership.

Click on the links below for the schedule, series description and nomination form.

Nomination forms must be received via e-mail by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16. They should be sent to kathryn.beckham@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu. Those with questions may call Beckham at (916) 734-8364.
