Discounted tickets to State Fair for sale July 26

Tickets to the California State Fair at up to 50 percent off the gate price will be available to UC Davis Health System employees on Wednesday, July 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the cafeterias of the main hospital and the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center.

The tickets may be used on any day of the state fair, from Friday, August 11 through Monday, September 4. No minimum purchase is required. The ticket prices to be available from the California State Fair’s “Big Fun” representative Wednesday are as follows:

• Poppy Pak, $29.95, discount of nearly 55 percent. Includes four admission tickets, four monorail rides and a parking pass.

• General admission, $8, discount of 20 percent.

• Child admission (ages 5-12), $5, discount of 17 percent.

• Senior admission (62 and older), $6, discount of 25 percent.

Only cash or checks will be accepted for payment. Credit cards will not be accepted.
