Enders to sign copies of book exploring difficult health-care questions
Sheila Enders, an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, will sign copies of her recently published book, Simple Answers to Difficult Healthcare Questions – Choice, on Friday, June 23, from noon to 1 p.m. at the UC Davis Bookstore on Stockton Boulevard.
Enders describes the book as an easy-to-read guide that will help encourage better communication in the medical setting and can help initiate discussions about sensitive issues among patients, family members, physicians and other health-care professionals. Enders says the impetus for the book came from her experiences dealing with her mother's struggle against cancer and the challenges it posed, especially those regarding decisions about medical treatment and advance health care directives. |
