Brahms Lullaby to announce arrivals in University Birthing Suites
Beginning in July, the overhead paging system in the main hospital will mark the birth of babies born in the University Birthing Suites by briefly playing a portion of Brahms Lullaby.
“We all know how special it is when a baby is born, so we would like to share that with the rest of the hospital,” said Judie Boehmer, nurse manager of the birthing suites.
After the birth of a baby, the lullaby will be played for 18 seconds, and will be played only between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. It will not interfere with emergency notifications that must be broadcast over the paging system. |
