UC Davis physicians entitled to reduced fee for “War on Pain” conference
UC Davis physicians may enroll at a sharply reduced fee for “The War on Pain” conference set for June 10-11 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
For UC Davis physicians, the registration fee for “The War on Pain: UC Davis Review and Update of Pain and Palliative Medicine,” is $75. By comparison, the normal registration fee prior to the conference is $330, and $375 at the door. The conference is sponsored by the UC Division of Pain Medicine, the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, and the Office of Continuing Medical Education.
The conference is designed to help front-line health professionals better care for their patients suffering from pain. These professionals include physicians, psychologists, nurses and other allied health professionals. The areas to be covered are an overview of pain, pain syndromes (acute pain, chronic pain, back pain, neuropathies/neuralgias and others), cancer pain and palliative care, pediatric pain, methods of treatment (pharmacological regimens, procedural techniques and psychological therapy), addiction and legal issues in pain medicine.
