“AIDS at Home” documentary airs May 31
“AIDS at Home,” a documentary set to air on KVIE next week, is part of the station’s Focus on Health initiative, for which UC Davis Health System is the sponsor.
Intended to raise awareness and illuminate issues affecting Sacramento, “AIDS at Home” will provide a glimpse into the lives of the region’s young people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, their transition to adulthood, the challenges they face and the state-of-the-art services now available in the community.
Appearing in the program is Neil Flynn, a UC Davis professor of infectious diseases and research director of the Center for AIDS Research, Education and Services (CARES), the Sacramento area's leading provider of HIV/AIDS services and the second largest provider of those services in all of Northern California, including the San Francisco Bay Area.
“AIDS at Home” will be broadcast on KVIE channel 6 on Wednesday, May 31, at 7 p.m., and repeated on Sunday, June 4, at 6 p.m.
