Free lunch offered to department with most employees in Voluntary DIRECT

Voluntary DIRECT, the employee charitable giving program, is offering a free catered lunch to the department with the highest number of its employees enrolled in the program.

The lunch will be provided to all of the winning department’s employees who are participants in Voluntary DIRECT. The winner will be the department that has the most employees in the program, either as new enrollees or as existing members who increase their pledge amount, by Wednesday, May 24. In addition, every UC Davis Health System employee who signs up for the program receives a certificate for a free weekend brunch at Chevy’s Fresh Mex Restaurants.

Voluntary DIRECT will give away free ice cream and have sign-up forms to enroll new participants at the Thank Goodness for Staff/ Diversity Appreciation Day luncheon on May 24. The program allows health system employees to make charitable contributions to the department or program of their choice at the health system. Most members choose to make their gifts via payroll deduction.

Employees who bring a completed registration form to the Voluntary DIRECT booth at TGFS/Diversity Appreciation Day or sign up on that day will be entered into a drawing for a prize. They also will be invited to the annual appreciation event held to honor all Voluntary Direct members.
