Bake sale fund-raiser for Team Donate Life on April 20

In recognition of April as "Donate Life" month, Team Donate Life will hold a fund-raising bake sale on Thursday April 20, starting at 8:30 a.m. in the main hospital cafeteria. Proceeds will support Team Donate Life's participation in the 2006 Race Across America.

Team Donate Life consists of UC Davis Health System physicians, nurses, staff and organ donors and recipients. Beginning June 13, they will be racing 3,052 miles from Oceanside, Calif. to Atlantic City, N.J. to raise awareness for organ donation and transplantation. Last year, they finished the race in a little over six days and 15 hours and placed second in their division.
