Activities for homebound seniors topic for Caregiver Support Group

“Leisure Activities for Homebound Seniors” is the topic of the next meeting of the Caregiver Support Group, set for Wednesday, Feb. 22, from noon to 1 p.m. at La Bou restaurant, room 1109.

The speaker is Lenise Curtis, a case manager for the UC Davis Care Management/Linkage’s Program, which serves functionally impaired adults who want to maintain independence in their home. Curtis, who has a bachelor’s degree in gerontology and is working toward a special master’s degree in gerontology and recreation/leisure studies, has several years of experience working in a recreation program at an adult day health care center. She will discuss the benefits of providing leisure and recreational activities for the homebound.
