Upgrades will shut down Electronic Medical Record temporarily
Upgrades to the Electronic Medical Record will require it to be unavailable for a five-hour period on Sunday, February 12, beginning at 9 a.m.
While the system is unavailable, access to clinical information can be obtained through these alternative means:
- Labs through the LIS link in QuickView or calling the lab
- Radiology reports through Stentor Images
- Pharmacy information via paper records or by contacting the Pharmacy
- Transcribed reports (no longer filed in the paper record) by contacting Health Information Management at (916) 734-2851, or by paging (916) 762-2558 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to midnight.
- Chart requests by contacting Health Information Management at (916) 734-5236.
The changes are mandatory from the EMR software provider in an effort to continually improve the EMR to make it easier to use. Upgrade training materials are available on the EMR web site at http://intranet.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/emr/training/Upgrade.
Those with questions about the upcoming upgrade or about the EMR in general should contact emr@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu. |
