Duruisseau named chair of Valley Vision board

Shelton Duruisseau, Senior Associate Director, Hospital and Clinics, and executive director for External Affairs at UC Davis Health System, has been appointed as chair of the board for Valley Vision.

Valley Vision is a non-profit organization that facilitates civic engagement among key stakeholders and policy-makers in the greater Sacramento region. The organization serves an area encompassing 22 cities and six counties, addressing critical issues such as health-care access, affordable housing, open space, transportation, liveable communities and other quality of life issues.

Duruisseau’s career spans 35 years in health care, including 25 years with UC Davis Health System. He also serves on the Medical Board of California, Folsom Lake College Foundation Board, is a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento, the American Leadership Forum, and a former City of Sacramento Planning Commissioner.
