One-time
payment of federal funds allows health system to record $43
million net gain for FY 2004-05
UC Davis Health
System recorded net income of $43 million for the fiscal year
ended June 30, about $10 million more than the net income
from the prior year, due to a large, one-time infusion of
federal money, a new system for moving patients more quickly
through UC Davis Medical Center's main hospital, and a lot
of hard work.
