After graduating with you all, I joined UC Irvine, Environmental Health and Safety Office. I am currently a biosafety specialist which involves safety management in research and vivarium environments. I love it because I come from a research background. I get to work with faculty members in making sure that the work that they do is handled safely and in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. I just came back from an intensive biohazards control conference in Baltimore. I never knew just how important biosafety was in research! I am both thrilled and excited with what I am doing. Hope all of you are feeling the same way!
