UC Davis has taken a leadership role in promoting disaster preparedness among its staff and the communities it serves through its research, education and outreach. Christian Sandrock, assistant professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine at UC Davis Health System, has prepared a six-course instructional online series that provides primary health-care providers and others the basics of disaster preparedness, as well as identifying resources for further information. The courses are available free for viewing at UC Davis' Continuing Medical Education Web site at www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu

webevents/. The courses are CME-accredited, offering an hour of continuing education credit to physicians for each module.
