Bill Reid
Published my 15th book, Handbook of Mental Health Administration and Management (Reid & Silver,
editors) a couple of years ago. Still a clinical or adjunct professor at three Texas medical schools,
doing clinical teaching and consultation, and doing forensic work around the country. I write the forensic
psychiatry column for the Journal of Psychiatric Practice and occasionally publish elsewhere as well.
On the American Psychiatric Association Council on Law and Psychiatry, help write and edit the American
College of Psychiatrists "Psychiatrist in Practice Examination" (PIPE), etc. Play passable tennis,
enjoy hiking in the mountains of northern New Mexico, live in a great part of the world (Texas Hill Country,
on an island), and not looking forward to my 60th birthday. I enjoy keeping in touch with former teachers
and residency-mates from 197075. Encourage them to drop me a line. Best to all in Davis and Sacramento.

became Medical Director at UCDMC 1992-3, Associate Dean Clinical Affairs SOM 1993 to present, Executive
Director UCD Medical Group 1998 to present, and Chief Medical Director for the UCD Health System 2001
to present. I serve as Chairman for the California Medical Association (CMA) Council on Scientific Affairs
and also serve on the CMA Board of Trustees. Jan and I have been married for 32 years. Jan is a residential

Rescue Service and Kristy (23) works for the internal consulting unit of the American Kennel Clubs in
