At a special board meeting held in honor of Dean Emeritus Joseph Silva, Jr. on December 8th, 2004, the UC Davis School of Medicine Alumni Association Board of Directors thanked Joe for his exemplary leadership and support by donating $5,000 in his honor to make him a member of the Dean's Honor Roll of Donors. The Dean's Honor Role of Donors was created in 2001 to acknowledge donors who have given $5,000 or more to the UC Davis School of Medicine Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Members of the Dean's Honor Role of Donors have name plaques in the entrance of Tupper Hall. The Alumni Association looks forward to awarding scholarship monies this fall in honor of Joe Silva.
