MASTER'S OF PUBLIC HEALTH ALUMNI CLASS NOTES
Welcome Master's of Public Health Alumni
Through research, vaccination programs and policy leadership at the local, state and national levels, public health issues touch the lives of people throughout the country and the world. Public health successes have helped reduce the prevalence of infectious diseases, reduced general public injuries, improved the safety of workplaces, enhanced prevention and treatment of chronic conditions, and improved sanitation and food safety, among many other things.
With an aging population as well as an aging public health workforce, it is more important than ever to train the next generation of top-notch public health professionals. UC Davis Master's in Public Health program is delivering. We have just received 130 applications for 24 slots in our program, up 30 percent from last year.
The MPH program is designed for people interested in disease prevention and community health. The program includes instruction in epidemiology; biostatistics; environmental and occupational health; health services and administration; and social and behavioral science, and prepares students for an expanding range of professional opportunities and roles in public health and medicine.
We encourage you to share news about yourself in our class notes section of UC Davis Medicine magazine. Please send your e-mail address to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can include you in our requests for updates.
