Quarters for the National Science Foundationfunded UC Davis Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology were dedicated in January at the Oak Park Research Building, 2700 Stockton Blvd., in Sacramento. The biophotonics center is a research hub for 100 investigators at nine institutions across the United States where they study the use of light in biology and medicine. UC Davis is the lead institution in the collaboration. The $20 million, 40,000-squarefoot building also houses the UC Davis Center for Healthy Aging and UC Davis infectious disease and cancer research laboratories.
