The seventh annual Serotonin Surge charity golf tournament was held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Wildhorse golf course in Davis. Approximately 175 golfers gathered to raise $40,000 for the recipient charities: The Maggi Carlile Memorial Scholarship Fund, The UC Davis School of Medicine's network of studentrun community clinics, and Dr. Ernie Bodai's Cure Breast Cancer organization. The donation to the School of Medicine was made in honor of Robert E. Chason, UC Davis Medical Center chief executive officer, in recognition of his inspirational leadership, partnership with the School of Medicine, and compassion for the patients he serves.
