Help our students

Help our studentsIf you thought medical school was difficult ... Imagine how tough it is to pay for it today!

A medical education can cost a student more than $250,000. UC Davis School of Medicine Alumni Association scholarships are instrumental in easing the burden. Last year, alumni donated ten $10,000 scholarships to incoming students!

Help bridge the financial gaps for deserving students.

Bill Reid

I think I mentioned it, but my 2013 book, Developing a Forensic Practice: Operations and Ethics for Experts (New York & London: Routlege, Taylor & Francis, 2013), won this year’s Manfred Guttmacher Award for best publication on law and mental health. It is my 16th book (some wholly written and some edited).

Bill ReidAlso, two music albums released in 2013 were on the 2013 Grammy ballot (but did not receive nominations). One is a children’s album, Songs for My Family, with all songs written by me; the other is a blues album, Blues for Lost Dreams. The blues album was nominated for a Texas Music Award. Two other albums were nominated in the past – A Place Inside My Heart in 2010 and Country Blues and Story Songs in 2011.
