Thomas Nesbitt became associate vice chancellor for strategic technologies and alliances on July 1. In his new role, he focuses on developing and evaluating innovative technologies and fostering new partnerships throughout the region. A pioneer in the field of telehealth, Nesbitt is dedicated to improving health and health care in underserved communities – and has made a substantial impact toward this goal in California and throughout the country. Prior to his new appointment, he had been executive associate dean for administration and clinical outreach and director of the Center for Health and Technology, which he established. Nesbitt will continue to direct the center in his new position.
