The Kenya Project MEDICOS
In an effort to inspire awareness about global health-care disparities in Africa, a team of medical students and accompanying physicians will participate in The Kenya Project sponsored by the UC Davis School of Medicine. The team will gain first-hand public health and health-care delivery experience by volunteering four weeks in an underserved country while working alongside Kenya's own medical students and physicians, together hoping to tackle some of the country's major health and public-health issues.
This invaluable experience will inspire the medical students to improve global health as future clinicians, researchers and leaders.

UC Davis Health System is proud to be home to medical, nursing, family nurse practitioner / physician assistant, public health and health informatics students and to also be the internship site for pharmacy, nutrition and other programs. Improving the health of our communities requires that we bring together these perspectives, and UC Davis is well positioned to do so.
