Building upon UC Davis' longstanding tradition of inter disciplinary and interprofessional education, the university's newest graduate group – the Nursing Science and Health-Care Leadership Graduate Group – brings to fruition a new vision of leadership that will meet the needs of a newer, rapidly evolving and more complex health-care environment.
Although classroom instruction and practicing techniques on models are essential components of all health-care professional training programs, the unexpected moments that a student experiences during clinical rotations often create the most memorable lessons.
The contingency planning that has taken place since the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks and the professional literature that has informed and responded to these initiatives have identified ethical implications that are profound and, in some instances, troubling. Read more
