Christopher L. Bowlus, M.D.
Clinical/Research InterestsChristopher L. Bowlus specializes in liver diseases, specifically hemochromatosis and other iron overload syndromes. He is interested in immunologic diseases of the liver, including primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, autoimmune hepatitis, and transplant rejection. His research interests are aimed at elucidating the causes of liver disease. Bowlus is studying the immune system within the thymus and how abnormal development may lead to autoimmune disorders. |
