Academic Pediatric Surgeon and Division Chief

The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine seeks to recruit one or more full-time academic positions at the rank(s) of assistant, associate or full professor in the Health Science Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence, or Ladder Rank series depending on experience and qualifications.  Exceptional candidates will be considered for Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery.

The selected candidate(s) will provide strategic and operational plans that will lead to substantial growth of the pediatric surgical programs at the Health System and Children’s Hospital.  Expected responsibilities include; teaching, clinical care, both inpatient and outpatient, and research relating to pediatric and fetal surgery.  This position(s) will work collaboratively and integrate with our strong community partners.

Qualified candidates must be board certified/eligible; have completed an approved pediatric surgical fellowship; and have a CA Medical License before the start date.  Exceptional candidates should be able to show a history of leadership and administration experience relating to clinical and educational programs as well as successful research activities.  All candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.  Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.
