Academic Colorectal Surgeon


The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis; School of Medicine seeks to recruit one, with the possibility of two, full-time academic positions at the rank(s) of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Health Science Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence series, depending on experience and qualifications. 

The selected candidate(s) will expected to participate in teaching; clinical care, both inpatient and outpatient; research relating to colorectal surgery and university service dependent on the chosen academic series.  Qualified candidates must have an excellent academic background and completed an approved colorectal fellowship; be board certified/eligible in colorectal surgery; and have a CA Medical License before the start date.  Preferred qualifications include prior experience in administration of clinical and educational programs, demonstrated experience in colorectal cancer and/or IBD, experience in minimally invasive surgery, and a strong interest in clinical education.  The candidate must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.  Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.
