Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency
Our program is fully accredited by the ACGME, with two established tracks for the training or plastic surgery residents.
Our Combined Program is being transitioned to an Integrated Program with our first Integrated Resident having started July 2014 and 2015, respectively. This Integrated Program allows applicants to match into our program at the completion of medical school. It consists of three years of rotations through various surgical specialties including Trauma, Burns, ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, Transplant, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General, and Plastic Surgery followed by three years of dedicated Plastic Surgery training. We have one position available for applicants from medical school each year and will interview for our next available position on January 9, 2016.
The Independent Program matches applicants who will have completed an ACGME-accredited residency program in General Surgery, Otolaryngology, Neurological Surgery, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, or accredited Oral and Maxillofacial training. While the national trend is towards complete conversion to the Integrated model of training, we value and appreciate the breadth and depth our Independent residents add to our program and have no immediate plans for discontinuing this track. We will be interviewing for our next available Independent position March 5, 2016.
