Philosophy of Care

Always a sports enthusiast myself, I found sports medicine a natural career choice. I enjoy the practice of medicine involving an active population, and I especially relate to female athletes. My philosophy of care focuses on equal access to specialty care for active people and athletes at all levels, in a timely manner. Having good health requires maintenance of a balanced, healthy lifestyle, which should include a regular exercise program. Access to quality care, particularly for active patients, is also very important. UC Davis sponsors a vigorous sports medicine program and has also made significant efforts to be involved in community sports programs. I am delighted to serve as a team physician at various community athletic events.
