Spine research

Research is an integral part of the UC Davis Spine Center. Our faculty physicians, nurse specialists and scientists pursue and contribute to advancements in spine care through pioneering new treatments, technologies and science. We currently have studies and clinical trials in the areas of:

  • Safety and Effectiveness of Oxiplex ®/SP Gel for the Reduction of Pain and Symptoms Following Lumbar Disc Surgery

  • Minimally Invasive vs. Open Posterolateral Lumbar Fusion

  • Spinal Sealant System as an Adjunct to Suture Dural Repair to Standard Sutured Repair During Spinal Surgery

  • Comparing the Safety and Effectiveness of the Mobi-C Prosthesis to Conventional Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion in the Treatment of Symptomatic Degenerative Disc Disease
