What is the reason you are interested in radiation oncology?

The reason I like radiation oncology is that my daily work is to try to cure cancer.  In addition I love radiation oncology because it's part of an integrated multimodality treatment, the evidence based nature of the practice, and basic science research including radiation physics and cancer biology.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Playing with my two kids, grocery shopping with my family at the farmer's market, lap swimming under the California sunshine (even in winter), and trying different restaurants in the Bay Area on the weekends.

What do you like most about Sacramento? 

The Sacramento area is very attractive to me as I lived in New York prior to moving here.  The people in Sacramento are friendly, there are various outdoor activities, affordable housing, diverse culture, and a family oriented environment.  But most importantly, no snow, no traffic (per New York standars)!  Finally, if you can't find anything fun to do in Sacramento, it is within a two hour drive to Napa Valley, Yosemite, San Francisco, and Lake Tahoe.
