Yamamoto joins clinical physics team

Tokihiro Yamamoto, Ph.D. joins the Department of Radiation Oncology as an assistant professor of clinical physics. Prior to joining UC Davis, Dr. Yamamoto was a full-time radiation oncology instructor at Stanford University. Dr. Yamamoto's clinical interests include image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) for managing internal anatomy motion during treatment of thoracic and abdominal cancers. His current research projects include the development and investigation of novel pulmonary functional imaging techniques based on four- dimensional (4D) computed tomography (CT) and xenon CT (Xe-CT), and applications to lung cancer radiotherapy and beyond.
