Gastrointestinal radiology

Radiologists in the Gastrointestinal Radiology Section perform and interpret radiographic studies of the digestive tract, including the pharynx, esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon, and biliary system.  Specific procedures performed include esophagram, upper gastrointestinal series small bowel series, enteroclysis, and both single and air-contrast barium enema.  Plain films of the abdomen are also interpreted in this section.
