Clinical/Research Interests

Dr. Melendres has clinical interests in diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and computed tomography of the abdomen and pelvis, as well as magnetic resonance imaging, including abdominal, pelvic and musculoskeletal MRI and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). Her research centers on development and improvement of noninvasive and non-ionizing-radiation imaging techniques using ultrasound and MRI/MRA, with particular focus on women's imaging, including obstetrical imaging.
