Dr. Chen's goals are to provide excellent medical care of our patients, conduct clinical research to advance the field of transplantation, and train the next generation of nephrologists.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Chen's clinical interests include the evaluation of kidney and pancreas transplant recipients, the evaluation of living kidney donors, and the care of post-transplantation patients.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Chen's research interests include elderly kidney transplant recipient evaluation and outcomes, acute kidney injury, disparities in transplantation access and outcomes, organ usage and outcomes in diseased donor kidney transplantation.
