Philosophy of Care
There are no aspects of transplant care that Dr. Adey is not interested in. She has special interests in the sensitized patient, antibody mediated rejection, and infectious disease in the renal transplant recipient. she is also interested in promotion of living donors and the paired exchange program. The paired exchange allows integration of my interest in living donors with improving transplantabiliy of the sensitized patient.
She is just starting her research at UC Davis. She is a site PI for a multicenter study using IVIG and rituximab for desensitization. She is interested in looking at markers and indicators of which patients will be responsive to desensitization.
