Philosophy of Care
Dr. Rothschild’s philosophy of care is to educate her patients so they fully understand the breadth of their diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Rothschild believes in empowering the patient; they are included in the decision making process with detailed discussions about the expectations they seek. Dr. Rothschild emphasizes that with some diagnoses, a multistep approach is indicated; therefore, she maintains a continued relationship and aids in guidance of her patients to navigate the process and manage their urologic needs every step of the way.
Dr. Rothschild specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of male and female urinary incontinence. Her expertise includes lower urinary tract reconstruction, including artificial urinary sphincters and urethral strictures, as well as complex genitourinary reconstructions including urinary fistula repair and transvaginal mesh complications. Dr. Rothschild also is skilled in multichannel urodynamic evaluation.
Currently Dr. Rothschild is conducting research in outcomes in artificial urinary sphincters as well as sacral neuromodulation.
