Philosophy of Care

I believe that exceptional NICU care requires a team of dedicated professionals as well as involvement of and communication with parents. I strive everyday to maximize outcomes for our babies and to get them home with their families where they belong.

Research/Academic Interests

I am interested in neurodevelopmental biology. My PhD thesis and work as a post-doctoral fellow concentrated on how the developing nervous system establishes all of the cell populations required for it to function. As a neonatologist at UC Davis, I will focus on using this expertise to help improve developmental outcomes in sick and preterm neonates.
