Dr. Lechpammer's clinical interests include Neuropathology, Ocular pathology, Molecular pathology and Tissue banking.
Dr. Lechpammer has a strong interest in graduate pathology education and served as a Co-Director of the Longwood Neuropathology Fellowship Program and currently serves on the UC Davis Medical School Admissions Selection Committee.
Dr Lechpammer's research interests include: Investigation of molecular mechanisms involved in the metabolic adaptation to hypoxia in pediatric benign and malignant brain conditions; Pre-clinical testing of novel targeted therapies directed at molecular pathways implicated in pathogenesis of pediatric hypoxic/ischemic injury and in the brain tumor growth and progression; and Development and validation of slide-free methods for rapid tissue histological analysis in diagnosis of human neoplastic and non-neoplastic brain disorders.
