Philosophy of Care
I believe physician and patient work together in partnership towards greater health and wellbeing for the patient. I provide common-sense, evidence-based education and treatment plans for each of my patients, while simultaneously seeking to understand each patient as an individual.
Dr. Hood-Medland is a general internal medicine physician offering primary care for adult patients.
Her additional roles as clinical research fellow and medical student / resident educator keep her up-to-date on evidence based medicine.
Dr. Hood-Medland's research interests include systems-based care, community medicine, and primary care based mental health and addiction services.
Dr. Hood-Medland's other academic interests include clinical staff wellbeing, underserved medicine, and medical education.
