Clinical Interests

Treating biliary and pancreatic diseases, treating everyday gastrointestinal problems such as heartburn and constipation, screening for and preventing colon cancer.

Research/Academic Interests

Studying disease characteristics of colon cancer among racial and ethnic minorities, especially among Asian Indians.

Exploring newer methods of colonoscopy such as water colonoscopy and CO2- assisted colonoscopy.

Mentoring Gastroenterology Fellows in their clinical, academic, and research endeavors. 

- Quality improvement initiatives aimed at increasing colon polyp detection, while increasing patient satisfaction and comfort with screening colonoscopy.
