Philosophy of Care

It is my goal to share my in-depth knowledge of the hand and upper extremity with you so that you can understand what is causing your symptoms and together we can make a plan that fits your needs.

I aim to provide each patient with the same, highest quality, care I would seek for my wife or mother.  When necessary, I consult with my colleagues - experts around the country - to ensure the treatment we choose is the best possible option for you.

As a fellowship-trained hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgeon, Dr. Irwin specializes in complex reconstruction after trauma, microsurgery, congenital hand surgery as well as fractures and disorders of the arm and wrist.

In addition, he performs surgical reconstruction for defects of the head, neck, breast, trunk, arms and legs. Other areas of expertise include reconstruction after skin cancer removal, and general plastic and reconstructive surgery.
