Dr. Abu Aboud's research focuses on discovering novel diagnostic and therapeutic targets for solid tumors such as kidney cancer and for other hereditary kidney diseases such as ploy-cystic kidney disease.
He approaches these goals by utilizing omics approaches (metabolomics, proteomics and genomics) and developing animal models for these diseases.
Dr. Abu Aboud is also interested in metabolic reprogramming in cancer to validate and use amino acids as molecular imaging agents for PET scanning.
