Clinical Interests

Dr. Maverakis' research team is focused on understanding how alterations in glycosylation contribute to the pathophysiology of autoimmunity.  

The specific diseases his group has been studying include: pyoderma gangrenosum, psoriasis, scleroderma, pemphigus vulgaris, and bullous pemphigoid.
