Philosophy of Care
I did my initial training in obstetrics and gynecology, but realized I preferred the management of complicated medical cases to surgery and switched my specialty to internal medicine. I believe strongly that patient input is primary for effective health-care delivery.
I consider my patients knowledgeable participants in their medical care who need to play an integral role in health-care decisions. I also believe that stress recognition and management are crucial to a healthy lifestyle. The UC Davis Medical Group has a strong, integrated system of health-care delivery and is committed to providing routine and complicated medical care.
Denyse Nishio is an internist who manages a large number of patients, many with complicated medical conditions. For a healthy lifestyle, she advises her patients to recognize and manage stress.
