Philosophy of Care
I chose my specialty because it allows me to care for people over time and develop ongoing relationships with individuals and families. I enjoy being able to provide education and support, and have the training to treat the whole patient. My practice is distinguished by my interest in patient education and my belief in maintaining good health and establishing a health care partnership with my patients. I think patients need to understand their role in maintaining their health, as well as the barriers to good health. I am open to my patients as individuals and strive to be a health-care provider they can trust and communicate with. I feel that our affiliation with the university enables me to provide convenient, comprehensive care and gives my patients access to one of the best medical resources in the country.
