Philosophy of Care

I enjoy getting to know patients and families personally, and I like the broad range of skills that family practice demands. I care for people of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. I place strong emphasis on working with each patient as a partner in his or her health decisions. I believe in getting to know my patients as people and in listening to their concerns fully. I feel that lifestyle aspects relating to diet, exercise and emotional well-being are extremely important in attaining good health. I consider myself to be part of a community-based primary care network of dedicated physicians who believe in personal, compassionate care. We also are supported by the technical expertise of the university hospital and its specialty services.
