Philosophy of Care

Every patient is unique but the goals remain the same: safety and comfort. From these simple goals emerge infinite possibilities. I will carefully review your medical history and concerns to customize an anesthetic plan to achieve these goals no matter what your procedure is and where it will be done. I strongly believe in a coordinated, system-based approach because good teamwork means better care.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Malkin is a general anesthesiologist who performs a large variety of anesthetics from polytrauma to obstetrics. His specific area of interest is in non-operating-room anesthesia, serving patients' needs for procedures outside the operating room, including gastroenterology, radiology, pulmonology, and cardiology.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Malkin has published in multiple medical journals. His subects have included medical education, medical technology, quality improvement, patient safety, and medical simulation. He believes in lifelong learning having lectured for domestic and international anesthesia audiences and developed continuing medical education.
