UC Davis expands access to vascular care
Clinic appointments available in Elk Grove and Davis
Beginning Aug. 2, vascular specialists Misty Humphries and Nasim Hedayati will be available for Friday appointments at UC Davis Medical Group locations in Davis and Elk Grove.
Both physicians provide comprehensive education, evaluation and treatment — including the latest endovascular and surgical procedures — for arterial and venous conditions, including peripheral artery disease, critical limb ischemia, aortic aneurysms and varicose veins.
UC Davis also provides expert vascular care in Sacramento, Rocklin and Roseville.
“The expansion reflects our commitment to making sure it is as convenient as possible for patients to get the services they need, especially since vascular disease requires ongoing oversight to limit disease progression and complications,” said Colleen Simmons, practice nurse manager for the vascular center.
New patients can request an appointment with Humphries or Hedayati by calling 1-800-2-UCDAVIS (1-800-282-3284).
The UC Davis Vascular Center is dedicated to providing personalized, integrated and complete diagnosis and medical management for vascular conditions. The team also leads a comprehensive research program that includes several prominent clinical trials of innovative vascular therapies, including a study to determine if a patient’s own stem cells can reduce the need for limb amputations in cases of advanced peripheral artery disease.
